When I decided to do a master's program in mass communication, I had two options - either to go abroad or to join a college here in Nepal. I went for the second option, and I am glad I joined CJMC. The main reason for joining this college was Dr. Manju Mishra and her commitment to media education.

I am proud to have completed my Master in Mass Communication and Journalism program from this college. During my years here, I had wonderful moments with the college, faculty members and colleagues. 

Learning is a never ending process, and that is why I joined CJMC to study Development Communication. I found the environment for studies here relatively good. The faculty members were excellent, and my classmates were superb.

Before joining JMC, I was practicing journalism and also working as a change agent. Still I wanted to enhance my career in a prominent way. CJMC,in its one-decade journey, has produced quite a number of reputed change agents. 

I had finished my undergraduate studies a long time back, but I never had the opportunity to enrol for a post-graduate degree. While contemplating which discipline to join, it occurred to me that mass communication and journalism might help me further my career.

At CJMC, I had great moments which I cherish very much. The faculty members were helpful who guided me throughout my studies. 

I had been practicing journalism for more than a decade,but I never had any formal education in this field. I think practical experience alone is not sufficient in this highly competitive 21st century.

When I decided to enrol for a Master's degree in Mass Communication and Journalism, I had only two colleges to choose from. On the advice of those studying at the Master's level, I joined CJMC and am confident that I will graduate with a good education. 

I joined the College of Journalism and Mass Communication (CJMC) at the post-raduate level because although I had been in this field for the last three decades, I never had any formal education in journalism.

I feel that those two years at CJMC widened my knowledge in journalism and mass communication and have helped me greatly in my career. I am glad to have been a part of the college. 

Before joining CJMC, I was involved in the film industry as an actress. But interested as I was in making a career in broadcast journalism, I enrolled at CJMC for a formal education in media studies.When I graduated from it, I had sufficient knowledge and the confidence to work in the field.

Today, I enjoy my career as a journalist and have the confidence to move further. I think this is all because of what I learnt at CJMC

As a student of CJMC, I consider myself lucky to have had the opportunity to join the Regional Master's Degree Program in Dhaka University under a Norwegian grant program, NOMA.

I now hold a post-graduate degree from a university abroad and am pursuing my career in journalism in Nepal. I owe this fully to CJMC. It is one of the best educational institutions to learn, build one's confidence and grow.

I am proud to be a CJMCian and would like to be one of its goodwill ambassadors.

I come from Dharan and am an editor of Blast Times, the No. 1 daily newspaper published from eastern Nepal. I had been in the field of journalism for several years, but I learnt the trade mostly through practice.

One day, it occurred to me that I should have a formal education in journalism and left for Kathmandu where I joined the College of Journalism and Mass Communication. Today I am proud to be a post graduate in mass communication from CJMC.

I remember my days, as a 1st batch student at CJMC, were quite challenging. I had completed my four semesters MA/MCJ studies in three different places. In the beginning there was a lack of qualified teachers and adequate reference books in the college. Despite so many challenges, the Founder Principle Dr. Manju Mishra was able to manage the classes and to create a positive environment in the college. It became possible because of her hard work and commitment towards achieving CJMC's objectives. At present CJMC is well established, equipped and has
developed the required facilities including an FM radio station, photo and videoediting lab.

The reason I selected CJMC for my MA/MCJ study was because I found the Founder Principal Dr. Manju Mishra very dedicated to serve in the academic field of mass-communication education. As a result, CJMC has made tremendous progress within a short spam of time. 

CJMC is one of a handful of colleges offering a range of courses in media studies.With its short yet successful history, I see its worldwide partnership as a distinct achievement. This potentially opens avenues for students to either go abroad on exchange programs or to share their knowledge in other ways.

The experienced teaching faculty at CJMC is an asset the college should be proud of. As there is a dire need for producing professional media persons in this country, it is equally important that we have a separate university that exclusively imparts
and governs media education in Nepal. CJMC deserves to take the lead in this mission. 

My Keen interest in photography carried me towards College of Journalism & Mass Communication (CJMC College) and college strengthened to Regional Masters Program (RMP), supported by Norwegian Government and hosted by the University of Dhaka.Comparing the course with other media courses that are available in Nepal, CJMC’s course is lately upgraded and highly computable, intensely applied and profession oriented. I found extremely effective on shaping my profession in photography after the MAMCJ. I enjoyed every moments of CJMC College during my study and being a faculty. During my study, my classroom was full of media personas as classmates and highly qualified, professional faculty member. Visionary Manju Mishra is always an inspirational, straightforward, professional and motivating person – a rear spices that hardly found in Nepali society. It’s always wonderful to being a part of CJMC. I wish all the best toManju Mishra and CJMC on its way to Independent University.

We are witness of many failure program of even so called renowned I/NGOs & GOs but still we are vacuumed about the reality because they trying to breathe without oxygen. The root cause is lack of proper communication strategies for overall project cycle and organization management. It means, they less prioritize the role of communication or unknown about the importance of Development Communication.

I had keen interest to study Mass Communication or Social Work for my master's degree. When, I knew about the Master's Degree in Development Communication at CJMC, My keen interest was vanished due to develop my career in development sector as a Development Communicator. I realized, Development Communication is the most essential strategy for the success of any organization and it needs competent professionals having academic degree in same field. Unfortunately, except less than five I/NGOs recruit Development Communication Officer from communication background in Nepal but almost are still lacking the human resources of Development Communication.

CJMC is only one milestone academic institution for providing such University Degree and develops competent human resources in Development Communication in Nepal. As a 2nd batch Student, graduated Master's Degree in Development Communication in 2010 as well as have been working in Development Sector and proud to be a CJMCian. It also needs proper coordination between I/NGOs, GOs and CJMC and develop reliable equipments to make equivalent its academic discipline as well as develop as Communication University of Nepal.

CJMC is a college where I enhance my theoretical knowledge of Journalism and Mass Communication. When I join CJMC on 2007 at that time my journalism career was running on 8th year and I was already established journalist in media but when I finished my academic year of journalism I realized that without academic or theoretical knowledge doing journalism is half knowledge sharing. So I can say CJMC makes me perfect for journalism. I thank CJMC its whole staff and especially principal Dr. Manju Mishra for the supportive role towards students. I wish brighter future of CJMC and all who graduates from there.

पहिला पहिला वुढापाकाले भनेको सुनेको मात्र थिए, बालहठ र नारी हठका अगाडी कसैको केही लाग्दैन । तर अहिले प्रत्यक्ष देखेको छु, महशुष गरेको छु, डा मन्जु मिश्रको हठ अर्थात दृढता र लगाब । र त एकलव्य बनेको छ सिजेएमसी नेपालको मिडिया एजुकेशनमा । निजि क्षेत्रबाट आमसंचार र पत्रकारिताको अध्यापन गराउने नेपालको पहिलो कलेजको इतिहास रचेको मात्र छैन, नेपाली पत्रकारिताका धुरन्धर पत्रकारहरुले समेत ढोका ढकढक्याएको एक मात्र कलेज बनेको छ सिजेएमसी ।

विद्यार्थीहरुलाई विभिन्न छात्रवृत्तिहरुको अवसर, विदेशी युनिभर्सीटीहरुसंगको सहकार्य, बन्दै गरेको अध्ययनमैत्री भवन, आफ्नै रेडियोस्टेशन लगाएतका दर्जनौ दुर्लभ विषेशताहरु पनि वोकेको छ सिजेएमसीले ।

CJMC is fulfilling the needs of the country producing development communicators During the last decade, there is seen a rapid strides in communication which has opened up new opportunities of employment for young people as was never recorded before. There are several colleges which produce manpower of mass communication, but there is only one college in Nepal, which produces experts of development communication. College of Journalism and Mass Communication (CJMC) is providing opportunity to study the several aspects of development and scopes as well as roles of development communicators in Nepal. To me also, CJMC has provided an opportunity to gain such skills and knowledge and opened up me new opportunities In Nepal there are several INGOs, bi-lateral and multi-lateral donor organizations, which have made some tangible contributions to the development works, targeting to the poor, marginalized and vulnerable people living in the remote parts of Nepal. Development communicators are getting employment opportunities to work in these organizations. Development communicators are also contributed to the society and nation by raising the voice of the rural and urban communities.

CJMC is all about LEARNING – Listen, Experience, Aspire, Reflect, Nurture, Imagine, Network and a common platform to all of us, development communicators. I am proud of post graduating from this prestigious college. In my experience, CJMC is where I got answers of a lot of life's questions. But more importantly, you will question a lot of life's answers too. We all should not forget that, college education won't be a pillar of our life it will be a ladder which will help us climb up to new heights. I am just sharing my experience that the M.A. degree in Development Communication helped me to climb up and I am trying to get a new height in this sector. In my experience, CJMC is all about building – building friendships, building experiences, building connections, building relationships and more importantly, building our future. I thank to CJMC, which provided me an opportunity, rewarding me to share my good memories after my graduation from this prestigious institution in development communication.

जति वेला नेपाली पत्रकारितामा उच्च शिक्षामा नीजि क्षेत्रले प्रवेश गर्न सकेको थिएन । त्यति वेला निर्कै चुनौतीको बिषय थियो, पत्रकारिता तथा आमसचार बिषयमा स्नातकोत्तर (मास्टर) तहको पठन पाठन सञ्चाललन गर्नु भनेको । त्यो कठिन र अप्ठयारो दिनमा सिजेएमसीले उच्च शिक्षाको पठन पाठनको कक्षा शुरु गर्दा पत्रकारिताको दिग्गज भनिएका ब्यक्तिहरु पनि आश्र्चयमा परेका थिए ।त्यति वेला केहीले नाक पनि खुम्चाएका थिए । तर आज त्यो प्रयास सफल पनि भयो र समयको कालखण्डमा नेपाली सचार जगतमा उच्च शिक्षा हासिल गर्नेहरुको लागि आवश्यकता पनि बन्यो । । पत्रकारिता क्षेत्रमा लामो समय देखि कृयाशील रहेको र फरक बिधाबाट पनि पत्रकारिताको क्षेत्रमा प्रवेश गर्नेहरुको लागि एउटा महत्वपुर्ण अवसर पनि बन्यो आज । सिजेएमसीले नीजि क्षेत्रमा नै पहिलो प्रयासको रुपमा उच्च शिक्षाको पठन पाठन शुृरुवात गरेर एउटा नयाँ अध्याय थपेको छ ।

सिजेएमसी कलेज जति वेला स्थापना भएको थियो, त्यति वेला नेपाली पत्रकारहरुमा पत्रकारितामा उच्च शिक्षा आवश्यक छ र ? किन पढन पर्यो भन्ने जिज्ञासा धेरै सचारकर्मीहरुमा रहेको थियो । सिजेएमसीले पत्रकारिता बिषयमा त्यति वेला मास्टर तहको कक्षा शुरु गर्दा धेरै पत्रकारलाई बिश्वासै थिएन । अचम्मको कुरा भयो, जतिवेला नीजि क्षेत्रमा कुनै पनि शैक्षिक सस्थाहरुले उच्च शिक्षाको आमसञ्चारको बिषयमा पढाई सचालन गर्ने हिम्मत गरेको थिएन । सानै प्रयासबाट पनि सिजेएमसीले गरेको प्रयास आज सार्थक भएको छ । नीजि स्तरका ठुलै नाम चलेका सस्था र ब्यक्तिहरुले पनि आँट गर्न सकेका थिएनन । जुन वेला नीजि स्तरको प्रयासमा शुरु भएको सिजेएमसी कलेजको पहलले आज स्थापित हुने अवसर पाएको छ । ठुला नाम चलेका सचारकर्मी र सचार गृहहरुमा आज यीनै ब्यक्तिहरु छन, जसले सिजेएमसीको पहलमा शुरु भएको उच्च शिक्षामा आफुलाई समाहित गरेका छन । सिजेएमसी कलेजले पाएको आजको सार्थकतालाई अव यस सस्थाले हिजो भएका कमी कमजोरी र राम्रा पक्षहरुलाई समिक्षा गदै एउटा गलिलो शैक्षिक सस्था बन्ने प्रयास चाही गर्नु पर्छ ।

सिजेएमसी कलेजले ब्यवहारिक र प्रयोगात्मक कक्षाहरुको लागि आफर्नै पहलमा सिजेएमसी एफएम रेडियो बिद्यार्थीहरुको अभ्यासको लागि स्थापना गरेको छ । त्यसैगरी यस कलेजले केही बिदेशी बिश्वबिद्यालयहरुसग गरेको एक्सचेन्ज प्रोग्रामले पनि बिद्यार्थी र शिक्षकहरुको पठन पाठनलाई माथि उठाउन ठुलो मह्रत गरेको छ । सिजेएमसी कलेजकी सस्थापिका डा मन्जु मिश्रले नेपाल भन्दा बाहिरका देशहरुमा प्रयोगमा आएको पत्रकारिताको उच्च शिक्षाको पठन पाठनको थालनी गर्ने जुन जर्मको गर्नु भएको छ त्यो जोश र जर्मकोलाई सिजेएमसीले सस्थागत गर्न सक्नु पर्छ । पुर्वान्चल बिश्वबिद्यालय भित्रको आन्तरिक कमी कमजोरी र राजनीतिक भागवण्डा शैक्षिक क्षेत्रमा भने देखिनु हुदैन ।

I joined CJMC in 2005 as a student of MA, MCJ. I got it when I was in need of theory of journalism & mass communication. College was really wonderful. Principal, faculties & staffs were very friendly and co-operative. Being CJMCian I feel proud.
